This day long seminar will introduce the principles of conservation and repair techniques for internal and external memorials. With lectures dealing with both the general approach to repair and specific materials such as stone and metal, this event will be useful for anybody charged with looking after or responsible for war memorials.

There will also be a workshop on how to access the Centenary Memorial Restoration Fund and information sessions to help give you the confidence to record and restore your local memorials in the most effective and sustainable manner.

You will also find out more about the work undertaken by War Memorials Trust and have the opportunity to visit the National War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle and talk to our experts on a one to one basis.
