Heritage Engineering Bursary Placement

Historic Environment Scotland seek an enthusiastic team player to undertake a Heritage Engineering placement based with Knockando Woolmill Trust. This exciting opportunity focuses on the activities involved in the running and maintenance of the newly restored 19th century carding, spinning and weaving machinery within the mill.

A qualification and/or strong interest in engineering, electrical engineering or textiles would be a distinct advantage. This is a practical hands on training opportunity and good tool skills are required.

This is a post is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) as part of the Skills for the Future bursary project for a duration of one year. A tax free stipend of £14,500 per year will be offered. Applicants must be eligible to study in the UK at the time of application.
