Weathering in the Urban Environment: Bridging the Gaps Workshop

This workshop plans to bring together some of the UK’s leading academics and young researchers in the fields of urban and coastal weathering and a variety of end users and industry bodies to engage in discussion the key issues at the science-practice interface.

The workshop will focus on the important issues of: (i) research needs, (ii) practitioner needs and (iii) measurement/monitoring limitations and needs, and how to successfully collaborate between industry and academia.

The workshop will be opened by two short keynote speeches from academia and industry, followed by “speed-dating” poster sessions, lunch and an afternoon of key discussions in break-out groups. Planned outputs from the workshop will be gap analysis for industry and an agenda-setting paper for academia.
