Historic Scotland's Masonry Research Workshop took place on 18th February 2013 at The Glasgow Art Club.
This event, which followed on from the previous workshops held in 2011 and 2012, aimed to promote discussion specifically in the area of stone and lime, shaping the direction of masonry research carried out and commissioned by Historic Scotland and its research partners. It is important to ensure that our research is relevant and useful to all those working with the built environment, irrespective of background or skill. It is hoped that this event will help improve communication between practitioners, industry and researchers, and promote future collaborative work between ourselves and other organisations, including commercial bodies, contractors, local authorities and research institutions. Abstracts, presentations and transcripts of the Q&A sessions from the day are available here.
